100% Vegan

The brand exclusively offers 100% vegan products or experiences and does not use any ingredient or component derived from animals in any of its products, packaging and production processes.

Criteria

Option 1

  • Vegan products must make up 100% of the brand’s offering / product range.
  • Products specified as vegan are free from ingredients derived from animals – including honey, collagen, albumen, carmine, cholesterol and gelatin, keratin, lanolin, silk protein and beeswax and animal glycerol (also called glycerin, glycerine, etc.)
  • The brand provides full transparency to consumers on ingredients, materials and components that go into its products by publishing ingredient lists on digital platforms such as their website and/or on the product labels.
  • The brand clearly communicates that their full range is vegan or has a clear plan in place to do this immediately. This can be done after receiving ethy verification and using the ecolabel to provide clear signposting for consumers.

Option 2

  • For travel, events or other experience-based brands, including restaurants, 100% of trips, events or experiences provide a vegan experience.
  • If the experiences can be chosen by customers as vegan or non-vegan, the brand provides consumers (e.g. website visitors) with clear instructions on how to choose the vegan options for all experiences.
  • Products specified as vegan are free from ingredients derived from animals – including honey, collagen, albumen, carmine, cholesterol and gelatin, keratin, lanolin, silk protein and beeswax and animal glycerol (also called glycerin, glycerine, etc.)

Option 1

  • Confirmation that vegan products (including the packaging and production process) make up 100% of the brand’s offering / product range.

  • Existing and current vegan certification from a reputable certification body such as The Vegan Society, Vegetarian Society, V-Label.

  • Description of the clear labelling plan or strategy. Where will the labels be displayed for consumers for clear signposting? Timeline: when will these labels be displayed?

Option 2

  • Confirmation that vegan products (including the packaging and production process) make up 100% of the brand’s offering / product range.

  • Full list of all products with ingredients, components and/or materials used.

  • Description of the clear labelling plan or strategy. Where will the labels be displayed for consumers for clear signposting? Timeline: when will these labels be displayed?

Option 3

  • Confirmation that 100% of trips or experiences are offered as vegan. (You can use this template to collate and provide all the information required in one document.)

  • List of all trips or experiences with information on vegan choices. If non-vegan options are offered, describe how the experience matches the quality of the non-vegan equivalent. (You can use this template to collate and provide all the information required in one document.)

  • Description of the clear labelling plan or strategy. Where will the labels and instructions to choose vegan options be displayed for consumers for clear signposting?
