ethy worked with Social Enterprise UK to create the criteria for ethy's Social Enterprise trust mark
Social Enterprise UK is a community interest company founded in April 2002 in the United Kingdom. It functions as the national membership and campaigning body for the social enterprise movement in Britain.
They carry out research to help paint a picture of the UK's social enterprise movement, raise awareness of the role that social enterprises play delivering health and care services, build networks between social enterprises and more.
Their members are a network that includes all the leading organisations of the UK social enterprise movement from multi million pound health care and public service providers to community organisations and retail businesses. But their members aren’t just social enterprises. They also include private businesses, charities and public sector organisations who support the vision of a world where social enterprise is the usual way of doing business.
Working with the information provided by Social Enterpise UK, ethy's Social Enterprise standards and criteria have been developed to ensure organisations that would like to gain ethy accreditation have a chance to also include ethy's Social Enterprise trust mark to their full sustainability profile.
