As a certified Social Enterprise, Ethiqana are a mission-led organisation that use their business as a force for social and environmental good. They're an online shop that showcase unique, handmade and ethically sourced products handcrafted by skilled artisans. Rapid industrialisation and mass production using cheap plastic threatens the sustainable livelihoods of talented artisans around the world. Ethiqana aim to protect the artisan community and prevent the loss of traditional techniques passed down from generation to generation.

Ethiqana work with small artisan producers to offer a collection of products, from Organic Wooden Toys to Handmade Home Decor to Statement Jewellery or Handmade Greeting Cards. Their handcrafted selection of items come with a host of environmental advantages. For instance, their products are made from sustainably sourced materials such as wood, clay, terracotta, upcycled silk and recycled paper, as opposed to virgin plastic. They are also created with durability in mind and intended to last a lifetime. They also operate a carbon-neutral website through their partnership with Reforest The Web which helps them plant 120 trees per year. 🌲

Fair trade principles are at the heart of Ethiqana and their purpose. To ensure an ethical supply chain they source their products from carefully selected small artisan producers, some of whom are WFTO certified. They also ensure a fair price is paid to all artisan producers.
