The Living Wage employer is a strong community champion, supporting a wide range of causes and organisations in and around its base in Manchester. Since 2021 it has raised more than £7,800 for Wood Street Mission, to help provide low-income families with day-to-day essential items for their children. It donates laptops and power banks to Community Computers, which refurbishes IT equipment for underprivileged groups, and it has purchased 10 freezer boxes for Greater Manchester Blood Bikes and milk banks for the transportation of breast milk for babies in neonatal units.

The company believes in empowerment and sponsors a T-level qualification at The Manchester College to support students in the world of work. It’s also connected with CodeYourFuture, a UK-based NFP organisation set up to help refugees and disadvantaged people become web developers and start careers in the tech industry.

DF Capital is mindful of its environmental impact and is exploring ways to reduce its carbon footprint, including carbon auditing, low-carbon IT solutions and low-carbon travel solutions, such as Cycle-To-Work schemes, electric vehicle (EV) salary sacrifice initiatives and an EV car fleet. It also supports Manchester City of Trees, which works to plant trees and restore woodlands for the people and wildlife of Manchester.

DF Capital also encourages its employees to give back to their local communities with four paid volunteering days a year.
