What is ethy?
ethy makes it easy and affordable for brands to communicate verified sustainability achievements against transparent SDG-centred standards, demonstrating contribution to the UN SDGs, and empowering people to make sustainable choices.
ethy developed the new holistic sustainability standards with leading organisations such as Carbon Neutral Britain, Efeca, ClimatePartner, Edinburgh University Innovations, and Social Enterprise UK and is now championing sustainable shopping through consumer-friendly ethy ecolabels and a No1 rated* free consumer app highlighting the best verified ethical brands. The app also provides a host of information and guides to empower people to make positive changes in order to lead a more sustainable lifestyle.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The SDGs are a set of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a ‘shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future’. The SDGs are aspirational and a good guidance, but also too broad to act on easily in our everyday lives when shopping for example.
The ethy sustainability standards were developed to provide brands and consumers with a system of transformation to achieve the SDGs. For consumers, the clear and transparent ecolabels give guidance on what to look for when shopping sustainably and how to differentiate between greenwashing, claims that miss the mark in terms of impact and verified claims that do make a positive impact.
ethy verified brands represent organisations working at global, regional, and local levels to shape the private sector’s contributions to achieving the SDGs.
